Ok guys, I've tried calling around different audio stores and I can't seem to find the right answer I'm looking for... I want to put in an aftermarker CD player in my 2006 Monte. I've seen some of the set-ups you guys with 06-07 have and they look amazing. How much did you pay for your wire harness b/c I keep getting these bogus prices that just dont seem right. I realize that these stock systems are integrated and it's going to cost a little more than other cars but can someone please cut the crap for me that I'm getting from these stores? Help!!

 

Well, sorry to burst your bubble...but the harness needed includes a chime box and many other wires that allow it to integrate with your car. The harness i have is made by Scosche. The model number is GM22SR. I ended up sucking it up and purchasing one from Best Buy for around 100 bucks :/ kinda steep. Good luck! but it is totally worth it!

 

an audio shop said it would be $300 something to get it. looked on ebay, got it for 30 shipped which included the setup for me to keep the onstar. look on ebay

 

Sonin, it didn't mess up anything at all? Everything still works properly? I'm sorry I'm asking a few questions, I just don't want to be stuck with something I can't use i.e. my fog lights I bought from EBay which stated they were for an 06-07 Monte Carlo but when they came they weren't the right item... If so, could you please get me a link of the one you got off EBay and send it to me, I'd like to order it tonight if possible. I don't have OnStar or Bose so I guess it'll still work.
