Well this past weekend I installed the system complete with the downpipe with converter I ordered from ZZPerformance after looking at the stupid U bend in the stock system. Not bad to take off the old one and attach the new one, just 4 nuts to remove and everything comes down nicely. Only problem I had was rounding off the nut from the converter to resonator, ended up cutting the pipe with a sawzall to remove it fast. thanks to my buddy Tom Sawyer for bringing over his 6 point sockets to prevent rounding off the nuts on the exhaust manifold which would have been a disaster.
Not too loud but much better sound than stock.

The ZZPerformance system bolted on well but the pipes did not fit squarely. The drivers side muffler extended out an inch from the bumper and the passenger side was a half inch in from the edge of the bumper. Only way we could get them even was by cutting 1 1/2 inch off of the drivers side pipe where the muffler attached. This made everything even but it would look better about an inch longer on both sides.

A year later and the ZZP exhaust was in such great shape that when I bought the 2004 Dale Jr. I told the dealer I got it from I would trade in the 2003 but wanted to swap the exhaust. Not a problem, when I went to pick up the red car he had already removed the old system. Took us less than 15 minutes to pull the system off of the 2003 and hang it on the 2004. Only problem the exhaust hanger welded to the frame was still attached to the old exhaust, hopefully I can weld it back on eventually.

Only problem is that once again the tips don't reach far enough out to clear the ground effects. I wonder if anyone makes stainless exhaust tips that fit on the ZZP tips to extend them 3 or 4 inches.
