ZZP Downpipe
IMO get the CAI, High flow Magnaflow converter (1 is all you use) and larger exhaust pipes (2.5") from the CAT back new Magnaflow muffs, tips. You don't need a brand name exhaust system like Borla or such. Bet you can get all the parts and labor done for $450 including you CAI, just get a few bids from some shops, let them know your budget, start lower and see where you end up at.
So what you're saying is I should get the CAI, magnaflow catalytic converters, and like a 2.5" downpipe? Also, what do you think about a U-Bend delete, or the Magnaflow resonators?
I think I'm going to get the CAI, and U-Bend Delete for sure. I'm not so sure if the catalytic converters and dowpipe are necessary for now. But I do plan on getting them eventually.
Besides helping the performance side of it, what will these parts do to the cars sound? I looked up different sounds on youtube and it sounds pretty awesome.
Thanks!

The ZZP downpipe includes the u-bend delete and the high flow catalytic converter. If you buy just the u-bend delete and separate cat, an exhaust shop will have to cut out the old and weld-in the new cat. The downpipe has done that work for you already. So the downpipe is cheaper / easier if you want to eliminate the u-bend and plan to replace the cat anyway.
I just had a ZZP downpipe installed at a local shop for $35. I tried to do it myself but couldn't get the upper bolts free. With the right tools and know-how, the shop did the whole job in about 20 minutes.
I've noticed a gain in power at mid/high RPM especially when going up hills since installing the downpipe. Though I can't really tell if it's just from the improvements of the easier-breathing downpipe and high-flow cat or if my old cat w/135K miles was bogging it down before.

hey so it's nice your moving along with some mods. After conversing a couple of times with you I see the direction your heading not so much performance since your not really built to benefit from mods such as high flow cats etc. So just to keep it cost effective yet enhancing your vehicles sound. 1. Do the CAI 2. No downpipe swap 3. No u Bend delete 4. Find a set of high flow mufflers like Flowmasters Super 40 series line. This should really give your car a great performance sound with out being to involved in swapping everything out till you decide to do your performance upgrades. Hope this helps. Now tuck away a few bucks for the project and let us know how it all turns out.
I highly recommend the ZZP Downpipe, if you aren't going to get serious into modding the car (Cam, ported heads, etc) then I wouldn't worry about the headers.
My current set-up has a CAI -> ZZP Front Powerlog -> ZZP Downpipe -> GMPP Cat-Back Exhaust System, and it was well worth it, plus everything was a simple bolt-on!
FWIW: My Downpipe is a 304 SS 2.5" Bolt-on with Cat

I would like the performance and the sound to come with it. That would be the perfect setup.
So the ZZP Downpipe comes with the U-Bend Delete, and the High-flow Catalytic Converter? So if I buy the ZZP Downpipe, I don't need to buy the separate delete and converter?
Just for some basic knowledge, what do the following things do?
U-Bend Delete:
Magnaflow Catalytic Converter:
Magnaflow Resonator:
Downpipe:
Headers (incase I decide to buy some down the road):
Thanks a bunch!

Just to clarify, I read the description on the ZZP Downpipe. I undertand now. Haha
So do you guys think I should go with the 2.5" bolt-in with the cat? Or the 2.5" without the cat, but then buy a Magnaflow cat? I see how buying a U-Bend delete isn't necessary if I get the ZZP downpipe.
Thanks!
