It depends. Do you want to do just a mild build or are you planning on doing something extreme? If extreme, don't buy the downpipe until you know what headers you're going with. If mild, then you will be fine, but you could bump up to a 3" dp.

What do you want to do with the Monte performance wise? What kind of whp and 1/4 miles times would you like?

Just a mild build. this dp, the cat back i just got, and a k&n cai is all im gonna put in it...maybe the zzp 1.0 pcm since the dp throws that code sometimes. does it matter that the dp is 3" and the cat-backs's pipe's are 2.5"?

I bought a 2.5" ZZP down pipe with high flow cat. And I could not help myself, I had to cut my old down pipe and see first hand what ZZP was talking about, sure enough, it was about 2" inside diameter (you can tell on the ZZP one right away, it's wider).

Out of curiousity, any reason on option 4 you are choosing to keep the stock cat? I opted for the $50 credit (and they supplied the pre-paid shipping label at no cost). I used that credit towards getting a PLOG (took ZZP a few months to re-stock the PLOG)....

The rear connection for the dp should still be 2.5" and bolt up perfectly fine

Default Which DP to buy...

If you are N/A then buy the 2.5" DP, if you are supercharged then buy the 3" DP.

Option 1:
For ease of installation, buy the 3" bolt-in with cat.
For long lasting durability, buy the 3" 304SS bolt-in w/cat

Option 2:
Don't know if the O2 extension harness is necessary for the MC's.

Option 3:
For ease of installation, buy both front and rear gaskets

Option 4:
It is always good to keep your stock DP in case you ever want to go back to stock.

Option 5:
Standard Model

Now all of that is fine and dandy, but before you got dropping money on this, like mentioned above, ask yourself where do you want to take this car mod wise? If you want to drop pulley sizes and build it, skip right over the DP and go with headers. Best bang for the buck and you will only have to do the exhaust one time.
