Default Wizaired CAI???

Hello! I'm a new guy but not new to 3.8's ... I am interested in getting a CAI for my 2005 LT.

I had a SLP on my 3.8 Maro and really enjoyed it...

I was leaning towards the K&N CAI for the Carlo but I keep hearing good stuff about the Wizaired CAI...I've never heard of the company where can I look/buy this online?

Thanks for any info
Anthony

Wizaired is a great performing CAI, but doesn't really look that nice IMO.

The K&N looks a lot nicer, but I believe doesn't quite perform as well and is a little more expensive.

Also check out ZZPerformance.com and click on Grand Prix. Same engine :P

I went with the SLP for the 05 Supercharged Monte and I like it. Again, the K&N looks and sounds better, but an enclosed system like the Wizaried, SLP or Thrasher is much better on performance.

Thanks for the info!

Yeah this is a tough one...I'm prob not going to get one until late summer (birthday)...so guess I have some time...

What about the K&N with custom tubing from the bottom..has anyone done this? any pics?

I’m thinking of going as far as a semi-ram-air with its intake behind the small grill that helps cool the radiator....hummm

p.s the SLP one kind of looks like the same airbox that is currently on the Carlo..Is it just a better filter?

I have the Wizaired and its great. Sounds really good and better performance than the K&N since its in its own box. It was easy to install and I get compliments on it all the time.

Yes the filter is a 4 inch cone I believe. I use the K&N recharger kit to clean and re-oil it. I'm not sure if it is a K&N cone though.

Which air system should you get, the standard, or a different one? And does the k&n air filter come with the system, or do you have to add that on?

are you asking what Manufacturer to go with?

are you asking if you should either buy a CAI, or FWI?
