Winter Project 2: FWI
Thanks!
It's Dry.
I think I know what line you're talking about. I'm not 100% sure but I think it goes down to a vacuum ball that has to do with controlling the HVAC system.
Thanks
Thanks Mike
Works great.. just the right size
It's Dry.
Thanks
Thanks Mike
it obviously doesn't match the body color because it's not metallicThanks. If I can't do it myself, I usually don't do it
Looks good the only thing is in my research on building one of these I seen a lot of info about PVC pipe producing a lethal gas or giving off chemicals when it gets hot. I think people say to use ABS plastic pipe instead. Again I have no first hand proof of this, it is just what I read on the web.

I've read that too. Not that I don't believe it, but I don't think it will get very hot. I mean the inside of the pipe has ambient temperature air flowing through it which should keep it pretty cool. I don't know how hot it has to get to release gasses, but I'd imagine at least two or three hundred degrees?
Also ABS is already black, and the couplers are already made from ABS. Why not just continue the path

That filter also looks extremely small. You actually might have less surface there than you did with the stock system. Can you get a bigger filter in there?
Its the same color they usually leave the metallic & pearls out
It's around 200 degrees, and our cars run a 195 thermostat and fans don't kick on until 212... well in that range for under the hood temps

Perhaps I should test it this summer.. It wouldn't be hard at all to see what the temps on the PVC tube are on a hot day.
There isn't much room for a filter. I might be able to squeeze one size bigger, but is that really going to make a difference? I'm not going for any huge performance gains.. I have a 3100 after all

Interesting. Is that paint available for purchase?
