I looked at RockAuto, I believe the aluminum LIM gaskets I used was FelPro part number MS98014T.

Do not forget to ALSO get the UIM gasket. Some may re-use these, I opt NOT to. Dorman makes a good UIM kit. Includes all the little gaskets you should have while doing this. Also, buy new coolant elbows (they are $5, and will probably bust when removing or are old enough they should be changed while you are in that area).

 

Thanks! The problem I am having is the 30 per item shipping costs from Rock Auto (different shipping origins to Canada). My suppliers don't know much without a part number so that'll help.

Keep in mind, you can still use RockAuto as a great list for parts and part numbers. Also if you have questions, they're e-mail responses are rather fast.

 

When I was getting the parts to have my 2004 Dale Jr done, I bought my parts at the dealer.

Here is the GM aluminum lower intake gasket #89017825 and here are the GM valve cover gaskets #24503937. The valve cover gaskets are supposed to be the new revised ones for the supercharged cars so I don't know if this number will work for the N/A cars or not.

I believe you are also supposed to also replace some bolts that are in there.

And what sealant are you guys using? I know that sealant can fail and cause a leak just like the china wall on GM V8 engines.

 

On my van with a 3.4 the Kit came with a tube of Permatex RTV Black but it was dryed up so I just went and bought a new tube of the same.

 

How common is it for the lower intake to leak oil from the china walls?

The lower intake gasket was replaced 40k miles ago due to coolant disappearing. I've noticed oil has been leaking and found it's been leaking on both sides of the engine at the lower intake gasket where the sealant is ran inbetween both heads.

So, I'm guessing the sealant has failed, or wasn't completely cleaned up of grease before sealant was ran, or wasn't 100% sealed up. But since you usually see complaints of coolant leaking from the LIM gasket. I'm gonna assume the dealer screwed it up.

 

Sounds Good Im going to be attempting this LIM Gaskets and elbows First week of march as I have the hole week off. Ive seen Coolant By the Elbows Fresh and it seems oil/antiefreeze is comming around hole engine from LIM and lower.. Soo Only makes sence to change it all..

So For complete Job on my 05 SS S/C I Would Need:
alum LIM gaskets - 2coolant elbows - 2 valve cover gaskets-
UIM gasket - Im guessing 6 Fuel injector o-Rings -
throttel body gasket <-Do I really need to remove it from supercharger?)

Anything Els? and Torw Specs would be Great I cannot seem to find Order and how tight.
