Default U-bend..or lack of one

When I was getting my Flowmasters last week, I took the liberty to take a picture of the O2 bung.

Many have asked what it looks like on the '06 so enjoy.

There was a member who went ahead and cut it out and put in a straight pipe anyways.

Doesn't look like it would make a major difference.

I think in your body style's case, cutting it out would actually hurt performance. The way its set up directs flow more gradually than a straight piece would because of the angle that would be between the pipe and the cat.

I see your point. So the arguement about Borla, or Dyno, or Magna's being better mufflers might hold hold true with VVT or V-8 engines of the 7th Generation Montes.

True, true. Something else I've wondered about.

Very nice and clean pic. I've been wondering what the underside looks like on the 7th gen. Pipe has a nice and smooth gradual turn in it. I did notice they don't have the heat shield under there anymore.
