Why john I do believe you are starting to make greg a little jealous haha jk

All the while I sit here drooling over these builds. Gleaning everything I can from the two baddest 6th gen monte's I have been able to find and their loving owners. I know I say it alot but you guys are awesome.

I will be having Kevin at car tuning tune mine since the whole turbo setup is his along with his TC and a fee other things. I figured he is familiar with his own parts so that's the best guy to have tune it.

All I will say is the grinder was out a few times cutting to make the room I needed. Greg, drop your IC down a bit it's easy just make brackets and done

Nice, your going to have Kevin himself tune your Monte. You dog, that's got to be sweet as all hell to get the main man tuning your ride. That's pretty impressive right there.

I'm done messing with my car for a few, I bet if I have the IC moved it would turn into a few bills for new pipes, ceramic coatings etc. Thats what is fun about our builds, were both going for the same goal, but getting there through different routes. It will be something to see as to which one of us can ace the other on a couple passes and on the freeway, I bet we will be so close it's not going to be funny. Nice build, keep it up brother...

i also decided:

i am going to pull my crow 130# valve springs and install PAC 150# valve springs so i dont float valves in higher rpm's.

im upgrading my injectors from the current 60# ones up to 80# injectors.

im installing a kenne bell boost a pump.

i think if i dont do the fueling mods i am going to run out of injector and or fuel so im trying to eliminate that chance as well..... all these parts are ordered and im waiting for them to show up. once they show up i will finsih installing everything and fire her up. dyno is scheduled for beginning of april. not sure if i am having kevin at cartuning tune it or brian turner but either way i go its happening very soon!

i wanna see a 580-620whp number

All I can say is "your wife needs to take away your check book!". Man John you have went the extra mile in a very nice way with the powder coating of the TB and alt. I bet it may help the throttle body reflect back ambient heat and keep her cooler. The chrome pwdr coating is sic! I hate you, I hate you, I hate you! You are always setting new bench marks with your Turbo Monte build. Very very very nice, you the man!!

I have recently read on booster pumps and now here you are adding that feature to your build. Another reason I hate you, I get to drive your car, lol it has to be sic, what a great feeling it will be, the knowledge that you have taken your car's performance level to where it's at, using quality parts. Just has to be an added peace of mind when your really pushing her into the upper power threshold. I always feel apprehensive as things can and do break, yet by knowing I gave it my best there is that comfort there too when I'm demanding my engine / tranny to work at those extreme levels.

Can't wait to know you got her to the dyno and see where you hit. Hope your able to get to your stated goal of 600 plus whp. That would have to be a wonderful feeling and a moral vindication for you for all the expense, effort and sacrifice you have relished uopn your Turbo Monte Carlo SS.

Going to be one so so sic Monte...

Thanks man! I can't wait it's been such a long ride with many build threads and rebuild threads and so on and to finally be close to finishing performance mods is an awesome feeling! I have my fingers crossed to see over 600whp, it would be such an accomplishment knowing this is what I built and I assembled!

Between me and you me just may have the 2 fastest 6th gen monte's around

But just so you know ever since I seen your monte on cardomain back in 07 it was what inspired me to build mine and when I seen yours I said I wanted the same performance but I wanted to beat your hp and 1/4 mile and it's still my goal!! I will know in april if I beat your whp number of 499whp on pump fuel and I think I got this

I hope everyone enjoys my posts and pics etc. Not to many members say much about it (minus a few that comment a lot which is awesome) but it gets a ton of views lol. I'm hoping I'm not boring people when there in my threads

You have a tremendous build going on John, it's finally maturing after all these years to where your big numbers are just a tune away. 600 whp is just plain crazy, really hope you get there, but you know your still going to be about 217 whp shy of Sam's Monte's whp.

I would like to dyno down at your elevation, Matt says people don't realize how difficult it is to make big power at 4800 ft. You guys are at about 500ft. So don't make me come down there buster, I may have a suprisingly different dyno number .

You have every right to be proud of your accomplishments, I would never try to do what you have done, unless I really had no other way to get there, and then only if I was really motivated. Your Turbo Monte rocks... Just hope it doesn't rock to much when I blow your doors off in June!! Gulp!!

We will have such a great time, thanks for making arrangements to store my Monte till I get there. Your a real stand up type of guy, it would be difficult if not impossible to get her there with out your help stashing her away for me.

I love all your newly coated parts, nicely played. They will come across real well with the judges. So I forgot what you told me your secret project was again, your doing what??

Keep at it Johnny, you can do it!!

Thanks man, the elevation does make a big difference for sure. As far as being that shy of Sam's monte I'm ok with that he got a big v8 lol I don't think either of us are gonna rock each others doors but we might go deaf if we do a tunnel pull!! Open dp for both of us, built engines, big turbo's..... it's gonna be epic!!! Not a problem storing your monte for ya so you can go to GM nats and we can meet! That's well worth the trade!

I can't wait till June so we can make a couple pulls then get to the show pitch up a tent tip back a few drinks bs and admire our fine pieces of machinery (monsters) we created

I'll make sure to bring along a bucket so I don't drool all over that beautiful animal you have made haha! I LOVE this thread you have created and you've been giving me ideas lol My wife will not be happy about em LOL Can't wait for more updates and to see the finished product!
