I'm sure you're a little bit better driver than I am... so you can save the extra 800 bucks for nav.

Oh, whatever! Listen here, I have nothing BUT alpine. I love alpine. I have Type R's, their amps, head units, 6x9's.. but that was all for my old car, so now i have to go and buy all new everything...

But the Garmin unit I have found is the BEST for on street nav.. and having it IN the dash is just an add on

I still plan on getting the Alpine Nav system, but right now the one I want costs 1,200. I'm waiting for their next unit to come out and this one to drop to about 500 on ebay.

What company has Alpine worked with for their nav mods? Is it blackbird?

No idea really. I don't look into the back end of those things. I just know they have exactly what I am looking for in a GPS, it it totally compatible, very reliable and accurate and once again, great customer service.

Yup, I looked into it. It's blackbird. They are on the higher side of nav, and to my understanding, they put out updates on a regular basis, which helps for new construction, etc.

I'm ordering my SLP catback end of next week

I need to fall in the money pit you have. Once I get my Gen V I've got to cut myself until January.

As far as the mounts ZZP or 3800Perf.... ZZP is a more solid mount so you will notice the vibration in the stearing, 3800 is a bit softer but it does the job of not moving the engine. I honestly can't see either of them moving so it's a toss up.

The 3800P was very easy to install once you sawed out the current mount.... Don't even bother to try to keep it intact.

If you want to save $10 though I would go ZZP

I think my biggest fear is having the vibration SO bad that i cant even hold on to the steering wheel, or having it SOUND loud....

Did yours sound any louder once you put the 3800 mounts in?
