Lightbulb Throttle Body cleaner Ok for use?

I've already used this stuff to clean out right inside and outside of the throttle body plate and the inner body and there was a ton of gunk, I had a buddy tell me cars without lever operated throttle bodies should not use it because it can screw with the programmed positioning and that it will not close all the way after you do this. I personally did not experience that and I was just wondering if it was ok to use this stuff w/o causing problems.

should be fine. They seem to get really dirty and you may end up getting a code thrown for it. Mine has never been too bad I would say only if you are having problems to worry too much about it.

I used this stuff very recently on my 07 SS and it removes gunk as you are spraying it on. Didn't even have to touch the throttle body after spraying. Cleans and dries very effectively and I had no codes or other issues. I removed the throttle body to get both sides completely clean.

Just don't spray any on the MAF sensor.
