That about sums it about. A shop should do this in about an hours time and charge $100.

Chris,

Find out what kind of stainless those tips are made out of (hopefully 304) and the mufflers are going to be aluminized, which means you may want to paint them (find stainless ones), or something because they will rust through in a PA winter.

Yes, like I did, get high temp spray paint and make sure to spray these mufflers before getting them installed. You'll also want to spray the welds too. Most shops should do this for you though while it's in the air.

If they make high temp clear coat too, it wouldn't hurt either.

FYI, I did 3 coats on each and it's already starting to peel and look bad-ish around the edges.

thanks, that was gonna be my next question, about how they are holding up. ok, so I have another (stupid) question, how do I know the inlet/outlet measurement? I was assuming it was 2.25, is there an easy to measure this? thanks

Well if it's the same diameter pipe as the SS, which I believe it is they're in-fact 2.25.

Here's a link to the mufflers I bought.

I honestly have NO idea what a turbo muffler entails that would make it different than a regular baffled muffler. I'm assuming it has something to do with the inner workings of it, but couldn't really tell you.
