me and my friend has the same stainless steel magnaflow mufflers, he has a 98 corolla i have a 2002 SS. i was wondering why the exhaust sounds are different from each other while driving the corolla even with the windows up the muffler are loud and the monte carlo is hollow and quiet. i wanted to know how come they both sound different if their are the exact same muffler driving at the same exact speed?? because the SS sounds like a poppy raspy RICER while the corolla sounds smooth and loud like the Fast & the Furious Skyline on boost..???

 

the engine, headers, and piping going up to it all play a part in the sound of the exhaust play around with it until you figure out what you enjoy on your car
