Normally, on a V8, I would say the bigger, the badder, the MORE aggressive... but this being a V6, (NOT that there's anything wrong with that) I would prefer it a bit less on this particular car. True, some have there own ways, thoughts and opinions... but, i'd like the exhaust to sound better and stick out JUST slightly more, while still keeping that "stock" look. Plus, I don't want to have to be cutting out holes in my rear end to make the pipes look properly proportioned the rest of the rear fascia... UGH!!! Not for me!!!

A supercharged 3.8L V6... yes... If I had the 5.3L V8 Monte Carlo, I would say BIG PIPES on it... but I just need to do more research in the "sights and sounds" section, and find out just how good a V6 can sound with a nice exhaust...

No, the headers replaces the need for a downpipe.

Amy's "Silver" 2005 Supercharged Monte Carlo has the SLP exhaust. Ask her for a sound clip for that, you'll get the idea of what it will sound like on your car, I'm pretty set on getting them, think they sound great.

I have the SLP powerflo ordered and will have it on my car soon. the stainless grade is actually 409 though. my car is N/A and i have all the (below the picture) mentioned perf parts already installed and will be doing the u-bend delete the same time as the cat-back. i'll let you know how it is when i'm done.

I'm pretty sure that on 3800performance.com, pfyc.com, summitracing.com and SLPperformance.com that they all advertise it as 304 Stainless. Unless you are getting something else...

Whatever it's made of, l have surface rust on the pipes but the mufflers and tips are spotless. It's funny, when I was under the car a couple of days ago to change the oil, I noticed my ZZP down pipe (I ordered the non stainless one) is cleaner than my exhaust. Go figure.

Mufflers and Tips (resonator too most likely) are always made of 304 SS, the piping is almost always 409 SS, that will develop slight surface rust, but never fully rust through.
