Question Question on Headers / Downpipe / CAT

Hello Monte Carlo Forum,

I was going to order the entire new exhaust system tomorrow for my 05 Monte Carlo S/C.

I have found the Speed Daddy headers here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-S...0AAOSwqbxaPdB~

I wanted to make sure I also needed to order the ZPP downpipe as well, unless there was a downpipe attached to the Speed Daddy headers. That was my main question here. Any responses are appreciated. Will order the CAT system from the ZPP website.

Headers include a downpipe.

Whether or not it bolts up directly to your cat-back exhaust is a different story. Sometimes they need a little extra pipe.

Thank you sir. I'll have to be mindful of that and bring an extra 3" piping with me just in case during installation/etc.

Actually, would I need an 02 bung extender with the new setup?

If you aren't tuning the car, you risk throwing a CEL for swapping the catalytic out

Thanks.

I was going to tune the car once the other mods were put in place. I do have a gauge that reads any error codes and clears them (CEL).

That smaller pipe with the hangers welded to it has a bung in it...
