Default Price for mufflers

I took my Monte to exhaust pro & they said it'd be $510 for res delete & to replace stock mufflers on my 2000 SS with Xtreme Cherry Bombs. $90 ($180 both) for glasspacks installed? Does this seem right..

Hi `Noles & Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family

It's seems high to `me, but in today's world, everything seems to be `high

What State are your from ?
I'd check back to see what our member's post on what they paid for their replacement.

I also suggest that you check with other shops & get estimates.
It's good that you are doing your homework before you commit to having them install.

Wish you good luck on getting a fair price & a good sounding Monte Carlo...

Explore the MCF & check for vid's of sounds on member's Monte's.
Good Luck

Couple years ago my local muffler shop charged 200 for res delete, and cut the single pipe from the LS and welded a dual pipe from an SS and welded on two flow masters. The mufflers ran 40 each from a promotion they had at the time "super 44s"

Welcome to the forum! That does seem a bit high. You might want to shop around. I had my exhaust job done for $350. I had the res deleted, stainless Magnflow mufflers and stainles 3" tips installed. How ever, I new the guy and he does quality work. If you do not know anyone personally who does the work you may be better off paying a little extra to have it done right the first time. Just my opinion. Good luck and let us know how it sounds!
