Ordered the K+N intake kit for the 06 Monte today..
Stock air boxes are typically designed to reduce intake noise. An aftermarket intake will not do this, soyou'll notice a low growl that changes tone with the RPM of the engine when you are accelerating.
Hey guys,
I'm new here, but not new to forums in general (I frequent www.GrandamGT.com often). I jsut got a brand new 2006 Monte Carlo LTZ, dark gray.
My question is similar to others on here about the intake: The engine bays are designed the same way, so is there any reason the V8 intake would not work on the V6 3900 application? It seems to me like one could easily modify the intake to fit in the V6 engine bay, unless the TB diameters are different...
Thoughts?

Just came across this fenderwell intake kit. http://www.intense-racing.com/Mercha...Induction_Fuel
This one's also only $100 compared to the $200+ K&N. Anyone think this or the K&N would be better?
