Default New Converter Options?

I have noticed a telltale sulfur smell recently on my 07 SS, indicating the need for a new catalytic converter. I already have the Magnaflow catback and was looking at their converter/downpipe, but it is not cheap.

Are there any other choices when it comes to the LS4 converter?

Ha! Just answered my own question. Ordered the Magnaflow 24221 Converter/Downpipe for $250 delivered from Advance Auto...30% discount code is a bonus.

Also ordered a Bosch O2 Sensor...might as well replace that so everything is fresh

Hopefully I'll see a performance gain and drivability improvement as I think the converter has been restricting this engine since I bought the car last year. We'll see..I'll also ask Lew to retune the computer after the replacement.

Very good idea. When everything is in let us know the improvement.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of the stock downpipe and the Magnaflow downpipe. The u-bend in the stock downpipe is a serious kink in the system for sure...Got everything installed and took it for a drive. Sounds good (not any louder), seems to rev a bit easier, runs smooth and strong. Very easy to replace with the car on 4 jack stands.
