I'm wanting to get a more aggressive sound out of my Monte, but I don't want it to be ridiculously loud. I went the bromaster route on my sonata and the drone just killed me.
I'm leaning towards Borla since they seem to keep it hush, but still sound cool. Do you guys have any favorites?

 

Borla is my favorite but ive never actually been able to spend the money on it.. Went with some cherry bomb "resonator" mufflers first that I absolutely effin loved the sound of..

Right now I have thrush turbo mufflers. They were ok at first.. I cut them open and drilled a bunch of holes bigger and sealed them back up..

Still not as good as the cherrybombs but mehh whatever.

If you got the money, go with borla.

You'd get better sound from a resonator, ubend, cat delete than with mufflers tho..

I wouldnt change mufflers till I did those three things first but not everyone likes doing that.

EDIT:

You will only see a little more "tone" with just mufflers. The aggressive sound you want comes from the three things up there^^^.

And dont EVER get thrush welded mufflers.. On a monte at least.

 

The sonata had a resonator delete and all those goodies and was far too loud. I want this to be nice and quiet until I romp on it

 

I'm running the GMPP exhaust, which is a magnaflow resonator and mufflers. I really like the sound. What year Monte do you have? Cars with boost sound better than the N/A cars.

 

Those also sound really good for as good as these v6's can get..^^^

 

Its an 05, supercharged. How loud are the magmaflows?

 

They can get pretty loud on a cold morning, and when you are romping on it.

Since you have an 05 supercharged, check around for L67 exhaust clips. There are going to be TONS of them out there for you to listen to. PLENTY of options IMO since you are boosted.
