There are no tricks. Our cars can relearn and alter themselves depending on the amount of air entering the engine. They are magical that way. Unless you are talking about changing the IAT sensor to trick the engine into thinking the air is colder, which just makes you run rich.

Also a custom PCM program is wayyy more beneficial than changing a perfectly fine and capable MAF.

well he still needs an enclosure or a pipe long enough to make it to the fenderwell

 

Why an enclosure? and Why to the fender? You want to get the air in fast. The shorter the better! guess its diffrent were you live. Its beautiful in the West. CAI Cold Air Intake just leave it if u want it in a BOX in the FENDER

 

You need an enclosure so the air that is being sucked up is from outside of the engine compartment, because colder air is denser and gives more power, hotter air is too thin and restricts your HP

 

Thats why you have to do other mods to TAKE full advantage of the mod. that why mine mite smoke yours @ a lite some day. Your car is magical and you already got one rite.
