Thinking of getting one of these too while I am at it to keep any oil that might come through the pcv out of the motor.

So when that gets alot of oil in it does it have to be replaced or can it be cleaned??

Just unscrew it and dump it out it looks like. That is how most of them operate. LS engines are known to blow a bit of oil by. Mine wasn't really at all before but I imagine moving more air might contribute. I figure it can't do anything but good and while I am doing all this work I may as well do it right the first time.

oh ok. Yeah do it right the first time :)

It certainly can't hurt to add a catch can!

I spent some time making a brass fitting for the rear pcv and had to really do some cutting and filing to make it work with all the clearance issues by the PS reservoir. I figure for all that maybe I should put it to good use :rotfl:

got the rest of the shaving done and should have all the vacuums relocated and ready to go. Had some clearance issues with gaskets installed. I feel like I have all that shored up. My help to run the fuel lines this weekend couldn't make it so Hopefully tomorrow.

As Jason says, your intake is HUGE! OMG, your just going to have to see some substantially better hp numbers for sure. Nice to see a project go from the "light bulb" phase to completion, especially when there is no lead for you to follow.

It is really come along nicely. And yes it is really a shock seeing it under there especially with the throttle body bolted up. Not that there hasn't been a few bumps in the road. I have been ordering parts as I have gone along just because there really isn't anything to follow. I just have little stuff to do and wait for Will my tuner to ship the rest of my parts I need. Some wiring here and there. can't wait to get this all finished and filled, sanded, and painted.

Wow, as I expected extremely close hood clearance 2 slices of cheese. Hope there is substantial hp over a ls6 intake. stock injectors?

xxtheshockerxx 01-22-2015 06:52 AM

I have heard they are better down low and very comparable high rpm. So it will be interesting to see. As far as I know no one has any real numbers on one of these installed on an ls4. Yeah stock injectors even though they are ideal because they are so short. I have some other ones laying around but decided to hold off for tuning purposes.
