not by default...if the dealer were to deny a warranty claim for that, they'd have to prove that's the cause of whatever problem there is with the car.

where did you find a after market intake for the car?
I have been looking for one for the 3800 for a while Would rather get rid of the one they claim likes to leak.

The problems with the current leakage issues revolves around the gaskets and not so much the intake itself.

GM has been using crappy cheap gaskets for quite some time now... The interaction of bad Dexcool just enhances the gasket problems.

so wha tyour telling me is i replace the intake gaskets on my car it will solve this issue?

If this is the case i can do that in a afternoon with alot of time to spare.
And they have to be cheaper then a new intake man.

you car confusing intakes with the intake manifold. the leak is around the lower intake manifold. there are few replacements for that. unless you buy a port and polish one. the intake that you are thinking of are new intake tubes to relocate the air source for the engine. either a fender well intake or some other type of cold air intake. some just drop the filter low to the ground-which is bad due to water and dirt.

for the average do it your selfer, redoing the lower gaskets is pretty difficult. i know it takes from 3-6 hours of for the work on a DOHC 3.4 monte. but the 3100 and 3800 take longer cause you have to pull the heads if i remember correctly. i would suggest checking out 60degreev6.com ; mymonte.com ; w-body.com ; or clubgp.com for more info on this.
