Hey,

This video was shot from 18' away, (I shot the first video from 5 feet away and it was distorted.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_SAWiDQvsA
(If it says this video is not longer available, just move the scroll on the video a few seconds into it, it should load.)

The more I watch the video and compare it to others the sound is growing on me.... Any input?

Sounds a little raspy around 17 seconds in, I think that'll change with a little time though. I've heard that Magnaflows start sounding better around 500-800 miles after install once the packing hardens, or something like that.

I have had them on for about 1,000 miles on them =(

I found a video that has glass packs and flowmaster 40 series mufflers, and a double cone air intake... I like how that sounds.

Do you think I could get away with getting a glasspack and a CAI?

Man, it sounds fine. I didn't go with magnaflow or flowmasters simply b/c I didn't have the $400.00 the shops wanted but I did happen to stumble across a small, self-operated business where a guy set my car up with what he called street turbo mufflers and Im telling you, it doesnt sound raspy and it's real clean and people and neighbors know when im coming down the road. I ended up pay $142.25 for everything and I am quite happy with it. If that story didn't help you at all then just remember...what you may lack in sound I'm pretty sure you make up with speed.

just like monte07 said, the CAI will help, but you need a v8 for that unique growl you are looking for, but good luck.

I like the first video a lot. What kind of glasspack did you put on?

i'm wondering if the shop might have put the wrong mufflers on it, can you post a picture (that we can see) of what muffler you got, because some magnaflow mufflers are meant for imports and thats what they should be on, but then i put magnaflow's on my car (they're kind of a rectangle shape ) and they're polished and they sound mint, mind you my car is a v8, but if they would have put those import mufflers on my car i would have got that same result, different style mufflers result in different style tones...you may have just got the wrong style mufflers, which if the case i would go back and say you want the right style ones put on
