Default I cant get exhaust tips off

Recently bought some stock SS exhaust tips off craigslist, but when the guy gave them to me, he could not get the tips off the old exhaust pipe, so he just cut the end of the pipe. Now I cant get the tips off the cut pipe. Anyone know how I can get these off? They are stuck on REALLY good. I dont want to heat it up because it will discolor the chrome

Those suckers get stuck on there pretty bad. An air hammer could really mess them up though.

I have used a small chisel,or screw driver...
and pryed the pipe away from the edges inside the tip...
Only enuff to free it and slid it right out... (Deforming the rusted pipe inside the tip) As long as your careful enuff to not deform the tip.

The rusted pipe will have a tendancy to give before the tip will deform...(Old School)

Pb blaster is a little more powerful than wd40. I would try that to break the rust down

I'd use PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench to loosen

I'd get out a small flat screwdriver to punch in a small piece of the pipe, so you can get something between the pipe and the tip to work your way around it.
