Default High Flow Cat

So my car is currently in the shop getting fitted with a nice new exhaust im doing a cat delete I don't have an E test for another 2 years but was thinking in time to get a Highflow cat but wasn't sure which one to go with and will there be check engine lights showing if I do get one I assume there will be when I have the cat missing in the first place is that fixable?

So question is what high flow cat should I get cheap but high/decent quality?

I did find a thread on here but it was from 2007 I was wondering if there was any new development on choice and what to use.

With highflow cats there will be a CEL.

You can get rid of this two ways.

1.) Get a tune which will tune out the CEL for the 02

2.) You can use a spark plug defouler to space the 02 sensor and this will help to remove the code. This can be found below:

From that site it said that there was none for my 06 Monte 5.3 V8
I came across this site that it says these are universal. would they work?

Magnaflow makes a downpipe/cat for an '06 5.3 that is a bolt in replacement for the OE unit. ZZP also offers a downpipe that uses the same cat and claim it will not void warranty. Both have the bung for the O2 sensor. I was concerned about the CEL when I replaced my downpipe (I bought a Magnaflow) but it's been on the car for almost a year now and no CEL. In fact, I passed emission check last month with flying colors. I wouldn't go with a universal cat...those are usually the ones you'll have a problem with.

I like the idea of the fitted magnaflow but I really don't want to drop 250 bucks you have the Universal magnaflow will that still pass emissions?
