um? well first off i dont know of any one problem that could b either so tell us what the problem is...and second a tranny isnt gonna b cheap to buy or have installed...and the intake gasket u should be able to find at gmpartsdirect. good luck

if you can forgive me for saying so, 1: thats a very vague post, whats the problem? 2: if you can't figure out if hte problem is the intake manifold gasket or a transmission, then you need a better mechanic... the intake manifold gasket would let crap leak out, you'd have gas on your intake manifold after driving for very long. if it was your transmission, you'd feel it slipping, not wanting to go in a certain gear, not upshifting-downshifting properly, etc.

well im still new to this site, and dont know how to work it.. but see the rpms are going crazy... see we took it up to Jim Raysicks, and they tested it or something like that, and said that it showed up as a problem on the tranny.

then yes, your transmission is going bad. you've lost second gear and your transmission can't shift into it, although it's trying. thats why your rpms go crazy. pull the car's gear stick all the way back into 1 and drive it somewhere to get a new transmission put in.
btw, you might get better luck in some place besides the exhaust section. maybe the general monte carlo talk or engine & internal.
