Header Help

hooker super comps are very nice, but pricey. go with long tubes no cats. 1 5/8 if you want to have a bunch of bottom end torque, 1 3/4 if you want more power up top. im running dynomax long tube 1 5/8th, but wish i had gone with the big tube. granted i bought them 12yrs ago and didnt do a motor build till 6 years after that. header decision is important and one you only want to make once. there a pain to install with the motor in the car laying on your back, especially when youre running the factory starter.

I read you cant use the Hooker Super Comp with a 168 tooth flywheel. but im runnin a 406 and thats the only flywheel i have found for it because of the balancing issue. i have tried 2 sets of the Hooker Competision series and neither have fit and they say the Super Comps wont fit so i guess another manufacture? anyone have any suggestions or a combination that worked.

the dynomax headers fit fine on my 406 with the factory starter. the only issue i had was when i was running the factory column shift the linkage made a little contact. i remedied that pretty quickly with a used megashifter.
