Default GMPP Exhaust

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if anyone here has the W-Body exhaust kit from GM Parts Direct? If so, how does it sound? They say it adds a nice throaty rumble while still making it a palatable interior noise level. I'm going to go ahead and grab that in a couple weeks.

Cool, how does it sound? Does it give off a nice deep rumbly tone?

not sure what the price is you are getting it for but check out this post from chibi (Mike) about the GMPP exhaust, might be cheaper than what you're getting it for!

The tips came with the GMPPExhaust System

PLEASE do not buy it from GMPartsDirect.

For starters, they are just a dealership in Kansas, they aren't really a great business.

On their site: GMPartsDirect.com is independently owned and operated by Flow GM Auto Center, an authorized independent reseller of General Motors Parts. This site is not owned or operated by General Motors Corporation.

I tried to buy the exhaust from them, and after 30 days (with the money taken from me) they still didn't even ship the exhaust system. And it took me about 5 days to get a hold of someone by phone to actually cancel the order.

Then I cancelled it and bought it through SummitRacing. In 3 days, I had the exhaust system in my hand.

GMPD is OKAY, if they already have the parts in stock. But if not, they will wait foreverrrr to order it.

As for the exhaust system, it was a piece of cake to put on, and I love the look AND sound of it. My resonator was completely shot and rusted out, my mufflers getting that way too. It was a very nice change, and the resonator, mufflers, and tips are all 304 Stainless Steel. I think it's the best sounding exhaust for our cars. A little raspy when you cruise at about 45-50 in 3rd (though your tune may be different) and it's definitely a little raspy at WOT (because, let's face it, it's not a V8) but at idle and normal cruising with overdrive, it's a good rumble.

And thats all I have to say...
