Glasspacks on LS4
I was thinking of somthing, whats the big difference in the resonated tips I was talking about and glasspacks in place of the mufflers?? Arent glasspacks the same as resonators?? Dont hate if Im REALLY off on this one??
Funny you ask, I've been looking this up and reading a lot of information. It seems that a glasspack is, in fact, packed with fiberglass, a resonator, however, is structurally designed the same way, minus the fiberglass packing. That being said, a resonator will not effect the tone any just quite the system down.
And I don't want to change the tips I have at all, I don't like the resonator tips.

I changed out my stock resonator which was a 18" to a 14" Magnaflow resonator. It did the trick. Gave me exactly the tone and noise level I was looking for.
I started off the same way as you, I just changed the mufflers to Magnaflows, and left the stock resonator. It was also a bit to tame, and not throaty enough for my taste. But the Magnaflow 14" honestly toned it right up to what I wanted.
