i don't like it simply becasue its on eBay... that guy probably just build a piece of pipe with a cone filter on it and claimed it picks up hp. its not a fenderwell or a CAI, i wouldn't get it. may get 3-4hp, but i wouldn't think it would be noticable, the only noticable differnece with that would be the sound it would make.

Save your money & make your own . 3inch PVC 1/4 inch wall & cone filter . It would be cheaper than $45.00 & you can design itthe way you want it . I made a FWI for my Impala for $35.00 & it works great , so cheap isn't always bad .

My Impala is a 04 with the 3.8 . The sensor is in the rubber elbow close to the throttle body so I didn't have to do anything with it . Hopefuly the link will work but you can see in the pic that the sensor isn't in the pipe .But if it had to be ,you could probably drill a hole & install a rubbergrommet for the sensor . http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...8/IMG_0117.jpg

GP `Dave,
I think for only $45 it isn't a bad investment.
It would cost that much to make your own.

* Polished piping for better direct airflow into the throttle body.
* Come with high performance washable Air Filter
* Increase 10-15 HP! Deep throaty sound
* No additional parts will be needed for installation.
* Re-usable filter. Just clean with any cleaning material.

* 100% Brand New.

Fits: 1. CHEVROLET IMPALA LS, LT, LTZ, 3.5L, 3.9L V6(2006-2008)
2. CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO LS, LT, LTZ, 3.5L, 3.9L V6 (2006-2008)

$45 is a really decent priceIf anyone decides to get one, please post what you think of it,and give the members a review.Thanks Solara Slayer - GP `Dave for sharing/posting

as you said... thats not really a "cold air intake" though... I mean, your going to have major engine heat warming up the air its taking in. Your going to need to make a box and give it a breathe hole to the outside ait if you want it truely "cold".

save the 45 bucks and get creative with something that is more custom for your car.
