With some performance exhaust there's a annoying droning noise that occurs at cruising speeds mostly.

So i had my friend at Midas do an estimate on how much it would cost to do the installation.

Magnaflow Mufflers - $419 + Tax
FlowMaster 40s - $484 + Tax

anyone know where i could get it done a little cheaper? maybe meineke?

Some times you got to shop around.I know not every place is the same.
Did you look to see if they made a cat back set up.Most cat backs you can bolt up in the drive way.

Is that the cost just to swap the mufflers? If so it seems high. I can't really recommend a shop, I take mine to a small shop.

I have the super 44s flowmaster mufflers on my LS and at idle it sound like a cammed lsx car but little more quite, under 3500rpm it rumbles and anything over sounds loud but very deep. I tried dual original 40s first but they're more raspy and pretty much quite under 3k

$320 sounds good. I paid $200 for my flowmaster 40s and I got free installation (long time customer). But when I got them taken off and straight pipe put back it was $100. So anything close to $300 sounds good to me. It took about 45 minutes for mine...

Flowmaster 40s are definately raspy over 3k rpm... I removed mine and put straight pipe for that reason but now its even more raspy .
