finally got to make an actual fender well intake for my monte. comments welcome :)

ok so as the title says, i actually got the stuff to make a real cai. i know it may not be the prettiest thing but it works. tell me what you think

Ah pick that filter up off the bottom of the splash liner. Its going to suck up any water that finds its way down in there. Everything else looks good, just suspend that filter farther into the fender so it stays dry.

thanks. ill have to wait til i can get in there better to pick it up. i had to do it in a hurry and we are in a drought down in alabama so im not worried about water atm. im thinkin about zip tying it to the side of the fender

Yeah it doesnt have to be pretty, just has to hold it up. I think zip ties will work just fine.

thanks. i just drove it and it is like a completely different car. before from a dead stop if i layed into it i could get a few chrirps but now i get about a foot or two of wheel spin. and my cel went off >_< whats up with that. it usually stayed on but it is off now.

I'm thinking of getting CAI too. It's like $300 though and I have neither the skill nor tools to make my own... is it still worth it?

the only thing i paid for was the filter. and that was like 24.95. and it made a huge difference for me.
