Default Exhaust System now complete!

Finally installed headers on my Monte to complete my exhaust system. Thought I'd share a few pics with you guys, I'll give better pictures of the entire system when I get time but I was kind of limited last night since it was so late when we got done

System includes:
Speed Daddy Headers
SLP PowerFlo Exhaust System
Two 2.25" & Two 3" Napa EasySeal Band Clamps
o2 Extension and EGR block offs from ZZP
and of course lots and lots of RTV

Here's the complete system before installing.

Speed Daddy's

SLP

Crossover

A descent pic of the front header clearance

Hopefully I can get some better pics and a sound clip later on. If anybody has any questions or wants better pics of fitment etc. just let me know. hopefully I can add a few more details when I get more time

Those headers are the ones that I will be getting this month. Is the 02 extension a requirement to them?
Looks great BTW.

Thanks!
The extension is a must with the speed daddys.

Are the EGR block-offs a requirement? Will blocking it cause an engine code? How is the quality? I'm kinda new too the FWD Monte scene here, but have been looking around and these are buy far the lowest priced headers I've seen. All the others were anywhere from 350-700. What would you rate the difficulty of installing them? I'm not intimidated by installing new parts, just that its January and I don't have room in a garage, which means even though we've had an avg temp of around 45 so far, as soon as I order them we'll get two feet of snow and 5 degree temps.

Thanks,

Tom Furst

I don't believe the egr block off's are a requirement. The speed daddy's has a spot for the egr return so you could keep it if you wanted. It does throw a code if you remove it, you can have the code deleted from somewhere such as zzp (which I will be doing soon). I think they are very good quality for the price. I do recommend getting band clamps though rather than using what came with the headers. The other clamps would have ruined the pipe so just a thought to keep in mind if you ever wanted to remove headers for some reason. Took about 9-10 hours of working on to install but it really wasn't that bad my friend had a lot more issues with clearance and such on his grand prix but it definitely fits the monte much better. I'm not at all a mechanic and this was the biggest install/mod I've ever done and it went really well, everything's sealed really good and there's no leaks so far So if you have other experience turning a wrench you should be fine putting these on. Getting the rear header in place was the toughest we had to pull the engine forward and turn/rotate the headers in many different ways before it lined up.

Sorry to write a novel lol I could go on all day about these but it's for sure a worth while mod in my opinion.

Thanks. The tone is a lot lower and it isn't obnoxiously louder than with just the slp exhaust. There's a noticeable loss in low end torque however but theres a much deeper sound at higher rpms. I will need a good tune to get everything lined up for the best performance. Should help quite a bit once I do a few other things like hv3 and cai. The best part is that the exhaust is restriction free
