any help would be appreciated, have 03' 3.4 with flowmaster single muffler (for now) car sounds ok at idle and close to redline but sound goes away at cruising speeds... anybody know part#'s and prices on u bend delete for my year 3.4??? getting the resonator taken off soon!
also will the k&n cai fit the 3.4 or is there something that has to be changed havent looked too close but seems to be about the same size but then again i may be wrong

i don't see how that u bend is restrictive, the pipe becomes more square and makes a U shape, what does that REALLY hurt? if it picks you up anything at all, its maybe 2-4 hp. is it worth teh cost?

when i installed my down pipe and u bend delete there was a huge gain in power and in sound so i think it is higher than 2-4 HP. IMO i think it is by far worth the cost of getting the U-bend delete.

NTIMD8T, you and I were in the same boat... Heres what I did

I went to a place called "don the muffler man". for roughly 400 bucks, I had dual flowmaster 40's put on, with a Ubend delete and redinator delete. I love the sound of it. close to a redline, its loud enough to be heard (not to be heard 5 blocks away from the cops though). Cruising it still will kinda disapear, but you wont go back to nothing, its always a slight purrish rumble. Ill post some video of mine as soon as I get some spare time here. As for the cold air intake... www.zzperformance.com has some that fit the 3400. go under grand prix and look under air induction. it costs about 250 after shipping but thats with a 4" K&N air cone and the wizair kit. hopefully that will be on mine within a week or so! Youll need to select the 3400 series one (it costs $20 extra) but, if you want cold air intake and dont want to make your own, why not buy the best. the 3800 CAI ive been told ownt fit becuase of the MAS location on it... let me know if ya have any more questions!

Also, not only does the UBend Delete help with 5-6 hp, it also helps to significantly reduce backpressure, thereby reducing knock retard, which is VITAL for those of us that are running blowers or turbos...

i think the ubend delete is more like a 10hp gain at least, its definetely more repsonisve, and a lot peppier when you have that on there

On the chassis dyno it has recorded approx 5 hp. The backpressure is reduce because the air flows straight through vs back, hitting a wall, going down, hitting another wall, going back again, hitting a wall, going up, hitting another wall, and then out to the resonator.

4 turns become no turns which then means higher flow out of the engine so less back pressure and higher Hp

i think thats right?
