Default Edlebrock intake?

Well guys money has been tight so the project has been going slow. The block will be back from being hot tanked, bored out, balanced and blue printed this week. Now to buy the intake for it, we are going with a Chevy 350 and using vortec heads and we were wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the Edelbrock 71164 SBC Vortec Performer RPM Manifold - Endurashine. If anyone has any experience with this or has better option please all advice is welcomed. Thank You.

What intent is the car being built for? Street? Strip? Street/Strip? What RPM range do you anticipate seeing peak torque/horsepower? For best performance you need to match the camshaft, induction system and exhaust (along with gearing, etc.) to work in unison within the same RPM range. Check the specs of the cam you are going to use and purchase an intake manifold that works in the same (or as close as possible) to the RPM range of the cam. Compare specs amongst the intake manufacturers and go with the one you think will offer the best performance.

I've used that style intake for all my street strip use! From 285hp motors to 685hp..
I don't see a problem for whatever type your building.. I'm sure your baseing this build for street and possibly some strip racing...Correct?
