I'm looking to put an aftermarket intake onto my 01 Monte Carlo SS. As far as I know the ECM is in the stock filter housing. Not sure where I'd end up putting the ECM after the replacement? Anyone had any luck with this before?

 

I just wire tied mine to the inner fender , below the new intake..

 

I done the same as Jerry, some intakes u buy come with a tray to hold the computer

 

I have a PCM tray from a Blazer: GM Part# 15995679, they run about $25 brand new from GM (although my source says they may be discontinuing it)

I have it in my basement for when I put my CSC on the car because I will no longer have my Intake Tray

 

Some intakes, like the Wizaird have a method to hold the PCM. In the case of the Wizaird, it has a tray that uses bungee type straps.

Cold Air Inductions, Inc.'s offering has an ECM tray that places the computer right back in the same place it resided in the stock box.
