Default Earnhardt Edition 2002 Monte Carlo SS Exhaust

Hey guys, I was wondering what kind of exhaust I should go with for my 2002 monte carlo ss. I already have the k&n intake kit installed so I was wondering what kind of exhaust would compliment this the best. Thanks.

For that year of Monte Carlo you have many different exhaust you could get. Borla, Dynomax, SLP. Or could do a custom one with Flowmaster and Magnaflow. I have Flowmaster's on my car and it sounds really good. If you are wanting something a little louder go with Flowmaster, but if you are wanting to buy a Catback system from what I've heard go with Borla catback and a Random Technology 2.5" downpipe with highflow cat that takes care of the u-bend delete. 2000_BLACK_SS has that same set up and on his car, his cardomain page hassome nice sound clips. For me Dynomax is a little to quiet and SLP I havn't heard a good sound clip of. Plus that set up would give you a pretty decent power gain.

First get rid of the U-bend for performance, but for mufflers your sounds are good in FlowMaster, Dynomax, SLP, and Magnaflow.

http://www.rmcgp.com/exhaust/ has some good sound Clips.

Keegan's sight is good as well but I lost his webpage in my Favorites.

Have the same car, Great choice by the way.

I have had Flowmaster 40's for about 6 years now

Just installed the following:

-ZZP downpipe with high flow cat and O2 sensor plugged
-ZZP O2 emulator
-Wizaired CAI

Breathes Great, I love the sound
Flowmaster 40's by themselves are good but the recent mods made a good bit of difference

good luck and hope it helps

That ZZP downpipe should have really opened the sound as well. When I had my RealTech my Dynomax screamed. Once I put my SLP cat on it quieted down quite a bit - this is a good thing as my neighbors were politely complaining a bit so I made them happy. I really didn't notice a performance drop though.

ZZP downpipe did make a good sound change but the hugh flow CAT kept it neighborly
