So I've been doing some research lately because a lot is being done to my exhaust. I was reading downpipes are only good if you are running a turbo. Is that true and should I hold off on getting it. I have an 06 Monte SS 5.3L 3" exhaust+high flow Cat

 

did your high flow cat add any sound? and any probs w emmisions since installed? ty,joe

 

I don't know lol, I'm still in Haiti had my mom bring it to a friend to get it installed. I would have to think that it would be quieter since I had no Cat before.

So... anybody do the down pipe or no?

 

Plenty of members here went with down pipes and not have turbo.

I went headers instead of down pipe , it was cheaper.

So if want, you can get one.

 

Okay thanks I think I'll just save for Headers then... that was in the plan anyway.
