Hello forum,

I have a 01' Monte SS, and I'm looking to get a better "muscle" sound from it.

Not really concerned about adding HP, just want it to sound better. I was thinking about just buying a new muffler, but honestly I don't where to start.

• What do I look for when buying a Muffler
• Is there a speical type that I need?
• Can I just install it without full exhuast upgrade?
• Will it make the exhaust some better with the stock system?
• Can I easily install one myself?
• If not, how much do you think it may cost?
• If so, any tips on how to?
• Any other suggestions?

If you are simply just swapping mufflers call up a few local shops and get a quote.

Shouldn't take long, nor cost that much. ~$200 I would say.

 

search around youtube for sounds of what you'd like on montes, you have to listen to montes, or grand prixs or something with similar mods to you tho to get similar results.

Most of the pricing to get the mufflers done will be the price of the muffler and tips, the welding itself will be the lowest priced
