Question 2003 3800 Exhaust Muffler Choices

Hello fellow MCF members, im new here but have been doing alot of reading up on ideas for my Monte, which i love for sure and I must say the Montes on here are to die for lol, Great Job to you guys ok heres my question. I have a 2003 SS High Sport Ed (Dale Sr. Tribute model) with the 3800 V6 (fav engine ) but im looking for a little more sound out of my mufflers, not the 4 banger ricer sound, but a throaty sound at higher RPMs but decently quiet at Idle with a little rumble, ive been reading that the Flowmaster 40 Delta series are some of ur guys favs. I live in WV so straight-piping is out of the question and so is the cat delete too. So any ideas would be awesome. And im looking to spend around $300 as well

2003 Dale Earnhardt Tribute isn't real. Do you have a 2002, or an unofficial DE car?

I like my magnaflow set-up. It used to be sold as a kit by GM Performance Parts, but it has been discontinued. But it is basically just some 304SS Magnaflow Mufflers with a 304SS 4" Magnaflow Tip

Yeah its an Unofficial one, its Rediciously hard to find a Dale Sr Intimidator model in my area so i bought an 03 SS HS and made my own on which im very proud of I had Magnaflows on an old Cavalier before the Monte and i did like those, what would that setup be money wise?

Depends on your local exhaust shop. To just get the mufflers and tips welded on, shouldn't be too much money.

But if you want to have them bend you all the proper piping and change the resonator it could get a little more expensive.

Yeah, i think its best to go the 2nd way with the proper piping and stuff which im cool with. Now with your setup, did you notice any changes in performance? MPG? Acceleration? And i def want to take out the u-bend for sure

On the cat-back it's strictly for sound. My performance comes from all of my other modifications. You can check my garage for those

304 is a type of Stainless Steel, I honestly don't know the Type of Magnaflow Muffler is on my car. But any good muffler should have a 304 Stainless Steel option

ahh ok, this might sound like a dumb question :p but im new to it and learning, but does the 304 steel have anything to do with the sound quality of the muffler?

No, it has to do with the look of the muffler and the steel's resistance to surface rust and rusting through. 304SS should be able to keep its shine much longer.
