Depending on how much and if this really does improve sound and perforamance I may be intrested.

I hear the 3.8 headers could fit the 3.9 engine but not sure if its really true.

Also if you want more intrest from people go to the impala forum and let them know as well or let the cardomain members with impalas or mcs know of this.

Tell the owner this would work for the new impalas as well as our montes, because the 3.9 engine is in the impalas as well.

 

If you want to get votes on this project you should have them put them on your Monte then show some pictures so we can see a complete project. It is kind of hard to ask without some type of showing.. I know you just seeing how many would be interested but showing is helpful in the selling part. Some type of price range would be good.

 

Yeah I had thought of that, I'm going to tap into the impala market to get more interest, though, this seems to be giving plenty of interest so far.

As far as an example demo, we will as soon as I get enough support, so it'll be a little while before you see anything. Things are picking up though, so this is good. A price is hard for me to give exactly, but since it's a fwd app, I'm guessing high $300-low $400 for the piping, so again, the more orders, the more we can spread out the labor cost. Oh, and mavrick, there won't be a great sound comparison, I have no catalytic converter, so it's a lot throatier than my Magnaflow catback was, let alone a stock system or a set of mufflers.

Another shop, or perhaps the same shop, is trying to make them for the 3.5 VVT which is the same fit as the 3.9. I have a 3.5 VVT, so please pursue these.

 

The 3.5 has the same exhaust manifolds? I guess it should come as no surprise, they are based on the same block... Good to know, thanks for the info. I'll be visiting the shop tomorrow to report my results, I'll try to have word asap.

 

This would be S&S header in AZ? Yeah the G6 guys are trying make this happen for 3.5vvt and 3.9 at the same shop.

 

Well, the shop I'm going with is Gearhead Performance in NY, but I may contact S&S and see what's what over there.

 

so whats going on with these headers? did he say how much they would cost, if he is even going to make them
