Default CAI sound difference

Can anyone explain the typical sound difference of a 07 SS Monte with a good CAI??

Pop the hood, open your filter box on a clear day with now wind "so its clean out, no chance of dust" take out your filter with the box propped open and rev. Thats about the extent of it, a CAI will be just a tad quieter than that.

Will it be a noticable difference of sound improvement?

Yeah man, its gonna make it sound mean. Right now you can hear your engine when you floor it, when you install a CAI, youll be able to feel it "per say". itll give your car a lower sound and it will be alot more noticeable that you have a V8. This is by the way pretty much only when you floor it. It wont really do too much durring normal acceleration.
And I see a new sig... nice.

Have you ever heard a 3400 without a CAI?? Cause I could give you the link to my car's interior slightly gasing it with my CAI if that would help.

Having a K&N CAI on my 07 GXP (same engine,etc)- I will say that the sound difference is pretty minimal. The engine noise is a little louder, particularly at WOT- but after a week or so, you won't even realize its different anymore.

Dont you notice CAI more on a v8 once you do other stuff? Its not a huge improvement like on the v6s? I think I know what bumpin is saying because northstars with CAIs dont get much louder, just a tad bit deeper.

Yeah, I mean honestly- the stock airbox isn't that particularly restrictive, especially for a stock engine.

Exactly how I would describe it too- plus you don't get that IAC vacuum cleaner sound like on the v6's due to the electronic TB, so the overall sound change is very minimal.
