i dont why people insist on glass packs in place of the res i have stock exhaust minus res with high flow cat and it sounds dam good for what i have into it. more or less sounds like a grand prix gtp with meaner rumble and sum crackle once in a great while

 

I like a Muffler I found called an "Acclerator" thats a cat back setup for just under $200.00..That splits it into duals...has a nice rumble at idle (not to loud) a moderate sound when you mash the Loud pedal (definately not an excessive sound)...and no droneing at cruise speeds...

Something to consider as well.

But then again my Z-34 already has the "dual Tails" from the factory.

 

Maybe it's because some of us don't care for the crackle, popping or raspy sound that eliminating the resonator can produce. I prefer a nice, mellow tone throughout the rpm range whether I'm accelerating or decelerating. Different strokes for different folks...

 

I have no res & i dont get crackling or poping, just high flow cat & 2.5 pipe to stock mufflers, i want a plog sence headers wont fit mine lol,

 

Some will, some won't, but the majority of the resonator delete exhaust systems I've heard on YouTube sound raspy when accelerated and pop, crackle and fart during deceleration. I'd rather spend slightly more over the price of straight pipe for a glasspack and not have to worry about whether or not my car is going to sound like that. Like I said, different strokes for different folks.
