Default best sounding exhaust

Anything out there because mine sounds horrible. I've got thrush welded mufflers on there now and no res. I don't mind drone or loud.

What engine are we working with here? Its hard to get a loud deep sound out of the 3800. They can sound awesome at idle and lower rpms but in higher rpms they get raspy if loud. This is just my opinion though.

I'm running a cutout on the downpipe and love it but withy turbo setup it completely changes the exhaust note, I've heard sc 3800's with a cutout and I wasn't impressed.

Everyone has there own opinion though, try looking up exhaust clips for your car on YouTube and figure out what you think sounds good and go from there is my best advice on this.

Good luck and can't wait to see what you decide to do!

Sorry I've got the 3800 series 2 na. I've been on youtube and all I find is flowmaster which didn't impress me. How are the cherrybomb mufflers?

I'm not sure about the Borla systems. A little pricey for catbacks and they have implemented some really nice designs with their ATAK mufflers, not sure if they make a system like that for our cars, but I have the magnaflow system meant for the grand prix's. Its got lots of drone but on idle with the GT2 cam its very lumpy which I really like. I think straight pipes all the way would really be awesome. There was a video on youtube a while back for the "nicest monte carlo in vegas" with straight pipes and it sounds nice IMO.

That guy is a member of this forum ifim corect. Yeah borla systems are hella expensive. But I didn't pay for mine too bad it wasn't stainless and no one took care of it

Its hard to find a full stainless system. The pipes/clamps will rot out for sure but the mufflers/tips wont. I would assume that the borla catback would sound really nice for a price that large.
