Default Adding exhaust tips.

Is there any downfall to adding just different tips to stock exhaust? Such as the screw on ones? Or weilding different tips on.

None that I have noticed. I just had a set of 4" magnaflow tips installed with my new spintech mufflers. I think you will get a little an I mean a little amount of volume increase if you go to a larger tip. But you won't get any tone difference or anything like that, that I know of anyway. But as far as a downfall to them, I don't believe there are any.

Okay cool, I wanted to add some black tips to go with my black 07 SS. Do you know if glass packs are decent on our cars?

I'm not really sure, I looked at glass packs before I picked my mufflers and I tried to find videos of a 7th gen with them and this was the only one I found

I wasn't blown away by it so I continued to look and that's when I came across this video which is what absolutely blew me away and what I ended up going with

Or you could just do this haha.

On a side note I personally think the Monte in the last video is a little to loud for my taste but it is absolutely drop dead gorgeous.

Yea I did a lot of looking when I was choosing my mufflers and when I found that video I knew that was it. They also sound even better in person, and that I have had them on for about 3 weeks they have gotten a hair louder then when they were installed and they have a louder lobe and burble at idle. In my opinion these are perfect mufflers that give the perfect sound on the 06'-07' Monte Carlo SS. they also give a unique look under the car because they are kind of square where most mufflers I have seen are more rounded.

I got these tips MagnaFlow Exhaust Products - For Trucks, Suv's, American Muscle, Diesel, & Sport Compact Vehicles

And I will snap some photos probably tomorrow since I don't think I will make it home with enough light. However if you look at the video of the silver Monte I posted, mine are that size (which is 4") however mine have more of a rolled edge then what those do on the silver monte. But that will give you a pretty good idea until I can get some pics posted up

those spintechs sound really good. This is just magnaflow mufflers, off road pipe, and no resonator.
