Default 7th Gen CAI Inc. users that have a 3.5L please help

I have a 2006 3.5 and I purchased the CAI kit and would like to know who has the same situation I found myself in. I am looking for what couplers, add-ons you used to fit this CAI to your ride.

Any assistance, part numbers, brands, instructions, pictures, etc you can share would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I was under the impression that you used the stock tubing on the 3.5 kit. The 5.3 kit comes with a coupler and all that. Mine actually came off a 3.9 that I have on my SS and just bought the extra stuff.

Thanks for the reply. The kit I got only came with the filter and the box. I was wondering if any one else had purchased all the additional components needed for the installation.

that should be all you need. I have seen pictures of them installed on the V6 models with the stock air filter tubing.

If it's the Cold Air Inductions CAI you will re-use your stock inlet tube.

Thanks Hiroska, now I just need to figure out which pieces I need.

Awesome SS, you are correct if you have the 3.9. However not the case for the 3.5.

Thanks

what differences are you talking about between the 3.5 and 3.9? There aren't any and if you bought the one for he 3.5 you shouldn't need any other parts.....

edit: this may help and or send Bill @ CAI and email and talk to him....

I have the CAI, Inc. induction on my 3.5L and it uses the stock intake tube.

It takes a little pulling on the intake tube to like it up to the filter correctly and it helps to have two people, so one can hold the tube whiles it's stretched out to fit the filter and the other can tighten the hose clamp, which holds the intake tube/ MAF to the filter.

There are pictures of my intake set up on the 3.5L if you look on my page.
