I know the supercharger requires larger openings, and if you use the larger opening on the NA engine you hinder performance.

Just like with a ZZP downpipe, if you get the 3" for the NA like you would for the l67 it hurts you.

I wouldn't think so. I think the other GM's have a type III engine which are 60 degree cylinder engines. I think the type II in Monte Carlos are 54 degrees.

I believe the Series III or L32 started in '04 for the grand prix, that's why they list up to '03 and why ZZP says if you are '04+ it won't work for you on some products.

All series 2 and 3 3800s use the same exhaust manifold style- so yes those headers will fit your car.

However, they are 1 3/4" primaries with a 3" downpipe which is way way overkill for a 200hp NA engine. They aren't going to kill your performance completely, but they are extremely big for an NA setup. If you look at some of the NA 3800 camaro headers, they're either 1 1/2 or 1 5/8 primaries. The NA 3800 FWD headers (S&S) are 1 5/8 with a 2.5" downpipe. Here is a good header info page:

http://www.wbodystore.com/grandprix/...or-me-a-7.html

btw- those headers you're looking at are similar in size to the pacesetters.

So, IMO if you plan to stay NA- get some used S&S headers off clubgp for about the same price or a little cheaper. If you plan to do a top swap or something later, then those headers wouldn't be so bad.

I wouldn't think so. I think the other GM's have a type III engine which are 60 degree cylinder engines. I think the type II in Monte Carlos are 54 degrees.
lol wtf...

The GM 60* V6's are the 3100, 3400, 3.4 dohc, 3500, 3900, etc

The engine he has (series 2 3800) is a 90* V6 (like the 3300, 4.3, 3800 supercharged, 3.8 GN engine, etc). Pretty much all 3800 stuff is interchangeable.

I have no idea where you got 54*
