I have an 05 monte carlo and I am wondering what type of dual exhaust setup I could use on it without it sounding like a ricer. Also what are some engine mods that can be done with the 3.4L to get more HP without killing the MPG's

you can do a PCM tune
CAI
Exhaust work (res delete, ubend delete, ect)
nitrogen filled tires

theres more too... but I just got back from the bars. haha

 

I don't care for the sound of flows on 6cyl cars...I ended up going with DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers and couldn't be happier

 

i have a 3.4 dualed out to 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers with dual outlet tips

going to get my resonator taken out this week

if you'd like, i can get a vid up, whenever i wanted to dual my exhaust out, nobody would show me what it sounded like on the 3.4, so i want to make sure that anyone that wants to dual there 3.4 out, i'll make a vid specially for them just to help em out..

but as far as dual setup, i say dual flow 40s, if not flows, get dual borla's (sounds nice on a 00-05 monte , or dual cherry bombs )

 

flows sound nice at idle on 6's, but under acceleration, not so much, IMO.

 

I have flowmaster 50 series on mine and I think they sound better then the 40 series but they are not as loud so it really does come down to what you like

 

I am wanting to go to the dual's also. did anyone change out the downpipe and u-bend ? any o2 code problems ? I hope more of us 3.4 guys will post up some info and sound clips. would love to hear vita's sound and 04 monte too. seems like zzp has tha best rep for downpipe and u-bend parts. anybody have info on other companies. thanks.
