I have an 05 LS and I wanted to get a dual exhaust system to give my car a nice sound. So I took it toa exhaust shop where I'm at and the guy told me that trying to give my car any sound would cause it to sound like a ricer since it is a six cylinder. I didn't like the answer but I accepted it. Yesterday I was driving around and another Monte Carlo pulled up next to me and it was the same body style but it was an SS. I noticed a nice sound coming from it as well soI let it get infront of me and sure enough it sounded great. I know that an SS has a larger engine but are there any exhausts out there for a resonable price that could give me what im looking for?

so right now you have a stock single exhaust correct?

yeah I do just have the single stock exhaust. thanks for the links ill take a look at them

 

in my opinion the 3.4's sound better than the 3.8's with exhaust, just go to youtube and type in magnaflow 3.4 or flowamster 3.4 and you'll find something you like

 

I would stick with the single exhaust as well. Going to duals may drop your lowend torque.
