Default zz performance

I have sent my PCM off to zz performance to have it flashed with there set up. I will be getting it back Saturday. I can't wait I think!

My question is if anyone has had one of there PCM's and if so what are the pros and cons of it? I can't find anyone who has had one and it is starting to worry me a bit. Thanks for any info.

I bought one and regret it. I've had some issues with ZZP, one was an intake manifold and the other was the PCM... car ran like **** until it went into closed loop. Most of their products are great though.

I have not purchased a ZZP PCM, but I've bought many other things from them and bounced questions off them. They have always been quick to contact me back and my orders always arrived in a timely manner.
As a company, I have no beef with them and happy with their services and responsiveness.

I had an issue with the first PCM I bought from them for my 05SS, the air bag light came on and stayed on. Great customer service and I sent them my original PCM to them and they tuned it and have had no issues.

Did you send your original PCM to get tuned? Montes are kinda touchy when you swap out PCMs that aren't original to the car. The 1st one I got was a core return from someone else (probably from a Grand Prix) that is probably why I got the air bag light. But once I sent my original one in to get tuned and got it back, it worked great. Then I sent the first one back to them for the core.

I wonder if the PCM you got Amy had a problem in it or if they loaded software not appropriate for your Monte when they tuned it.

I've used a total of 3 different PCMs in my Monte (the original and two donors). The reason was I did not have a tuner for my first tune and for about $20 I could get a donor PCM and keep the factory tune untouched. The last PCM was because I now have a DHP PowrTuner but could not read/write to the tune I had on the first donor PCM (I could over write it but then it would be gone for good), so another $20 and I could keep that untouched.

Most I ever had to do was the PCM Security re-learn. Each PCM is still in working. I also had no issues with a donor in my '02 Grand Am.
